Application Instructions for Tread Water-Based Tire Dressing

Tread is designed for easy and effective application, providing a beautiful finish and lasting protection. For best results, ensure tires are thoroughly clean and dry before application. Work on cool tires and out of direct sunlight.

Application Method:

1. Clean Tires Thoroughly (CRITICAL):
   • This is the most important step for optimal adhesion and longevity. Use a dedicated tire cleaner (like Switch or Reset) and a stiff tire brush to vigorously scrub the tire sidewalls. This removes all old dressing, dirt, and browning.
   • Rinse thoroughly with water until no brown suds or residue appear.
   • Allow the tires to dry completely before applying Tread. A leaf blower or compressed air can speed this up.
2. Shake Well: Shake the bottle of Tread thoroughly before each use to ensure the product is well mixed.
3. Apply to Applicator: Dispense a small amount of Tread directly onto a dedicated foam, brush or microfiber tire dressing applicator pad. A little goes a long way.
4. Spread Evenly:
   • Using the loaded applicator, spread the gel evenly across the tire sidewall in a uniform, thin layer.
   • Work the product into the texture of the tire, ensuring complete coverage. Avoid getting the product on wheels or painted surfaces; if you do, wipe it off immediately.
5. Allow to Cure/Dry:
   • Allow the first coat to dry and cure for at least 10-15 minutes, or until it feels dry to the touch. This is crucial for preventing sling.
   • The tire should look evenly dressed, with no obvious wet or streaky spots.
6. Adjust Gloss (Optional - for Higher Shine):
   • For a deeper, higher gloss finish, apply a second thin coat of Tread after the first coat has fully dried. Repeat the spreading and curing process.
7. Final Wipe (Optional - for Satin Finish):
   • If you desire a more subtle, satin look, after the final coat has dried for about 15-20 minutes, lightly wipe the tire sidewall with a clean, dry microfiber towel. This will knock down some of the shine.
8. Repeat for All Tires: Move to the next tire and repeat the entire application process.

• Thin, Even Coats: Apply in thin, even layers. Over-applying can lead to longer drying times and a slightly streaky finish.
